a month agoGrand Rising! We are here. Fighting, thriving, surviving. Diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2024. I now am on a new treatment Herceptin, Perjeta and Taxol. I received that every 3 weeks and receive the Taxol twice a month. I am on my 7th infusion. Just started having a new pain in my hip which is very uncomfortable. Had an x-ray and MRI. It states that I have stenosis arthritis and Spurs on my L3 and sacrum. My Liver Markers have went up again. It's about that time to do my every 3 months PET scan in September. Standing in faith and being strong-willed. Being an advocate for myself and doing the work. It's a hard way to go with cancer overall. But we have to stay positive stay hydrated stay eating clean and being and learning how to be emotionally intelligent. It's always something new to learn about yourself everyday. We Stand In Optimal Health!🌷🩷

a month agoYour positive spirit and advocacy for yourself really shine through. Hip pain can definitely be challenging to manage alongside treatment, and it's great that you've already had imaging done to understand what's happening. Many find that a combination approach works best - this might include physical therapy, gentle movement when possible, heat/cold therapy, and working closely with both your oncology team and possibly a pain specialist who understands cancer treatment. Your upcoming PET scan will give your medical team important information to help guide your care. Keep advocating for yourself and don't hesitate to discuss all your pain management options with your healthcare providers.

6 days agoGemmz I also believe that a positive attitude is most of the battle. I have bad days as I'm sure most of us do. When I go to the hospital which is at least 3 times a week, lots of people can't believe that I'm ill. I'm a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer to the brain. My belief that God's got me provided me with great peace. When asked what my secret is I say... I have the peace that surpasses all understanding. This works for me. I had 9 lesions on my brain; gama ray treatments; 17 months remission; now 1 more lesion on my brain. Yes I'm disappointed...... Here we go again. Sorry for the venting. 😩

6 days agoHi Rebecca. All is well to all of us. As I am present with my whole self. I have been told I have 3 mm and a 5 mm tumor on my brain. And I've seen the images. From metastatic breast cancer. To have peace in this chaos is very important. I am on the herceptin, Xeloda and Tukysa. I've just started this treatment. My tumor Markers in my liver went down still high but when down which I'm so happy about. But now it's time to focus on something which is the growth on my brain. It's so overwhelming for me. But I'm standing tall in all that I am. And the work that I put in to be in this position in my life. Working closely as well with my oncologist, my palliative care and the Dempsey center. I have built the life of supporters and people who care for me. With self-love and self-care I have conquered. However I still rise above illness. Faith over fear. And peace over pain. 🌷
