a month agoHaving trouble hydrating more. My meds cause. Stomachs issues and I can become dehydrated quickly. I know to drink more water and fluids but I don’t have the mindset to do it lately! Anyone else can relate to this?

a month agoMany people in the community face similar challenges with staying hydrated when cancer medications cause stomach issues and affect motivation. Small, frequent sips of clear fluids like electrolyte drinks, broths, or even ice chips can sometimes be easier on the stomach than forcing large amounts of water, and setting gentle reminders or asking loved ones for support can help when the mindset isn't there.

20 days agoI had these issues. I could tell I was dehydrated usually because my BP would drop and I'd get dizzy. I would call my oncologist and I would go in and get IV fluids. If it was the weekend I would go to the ER for IV fluids. Sometimes even if you drink 72 oz a day. You put out more. Pedialyte replaces electrolytes. It tastes good too.

4 days agoThere are several different ones. Saline has salt in it. Ringers lactate has electrolytes. Dextrose has sugar in it.
