a year agoI begin radiation therapy on 1/13/2025, and was told not to use deodorant under my left arm. Is there an aluminum and fragrance free that can be used?
Accepted Answer
Many radiation patients find that aluminum-free and fragrance-free deodorants can often be used during treatment, though it's always best to check with the radiation team first since guidelines can vary by treatment center. Some popular options that other patients have mentioned include crystal deodorants, baking soda-based formulas, or brands specifically marketed as "sensitive skin" varieties. The radiation staff will have the most current recommendations for what works best with the specific treatment plan and equipment being used.
