How Can I Prevent Sinus Infections While on Ibrance?

I am on Ibrance. It seems like when my neutrophils drop at the end of a cycle, I wind up with a sinus infection. I have done everything over the counter to prevent this. Allergy med, nasal rinse, saline spray. Can't use steroid nose spray because it raises the pressure in my eyes. Is there anything else I could try. I did buy Astepro but haven't tried it because the infection needs to clear a little more and get the pressure down.

Dealing with recurring sinus infections during treatment can be really frustrating, especially when you've already tried so many preventive measures. Since neutropenia can increase infection risk, it's definitely worth discussing this pattern with your oncology team - they may have specific strategies or treatments that work well alongside Ibrance. Many patients in similar situations find that their medical team can offer additional options or adjust timing of interventions to help break this cycle.

I went to an ENT and he gave me by mouth antibiotics and antibiotics and steroids in a saline solution to squirt up my nose twice daily for 2 months. That cleared my sinus infection. My ENT got my meds from a compounding. Pharmacy in Nashville. I live in Memphis but the cost was profoundly less.
