I’ve had metastatic breast cancer for four years. I’ve been on Ibrance. As of my last scan there were new lesions. My doctor set out a blood sample to determine the mutation then I’ll either take Orderdu or Fasoldex. Has anyone taken either of these and what was your experience like. I won’t have my blood work back for another week. Debbie K

Waiting for test results can feel overwhelming, especially when facing treatment changes. Many community members have shared experiences with both medications, and connecting with others who've been on similar treatment paths can provide valuable insights and support. Hopefully others will share their experiences to help you feel more prepared for the conversations ahead with your care team.

Debbie I am on Faslodex and it’s two shots in the rear, main side effect I have is hot flashes. When I first went on it the first month I got the shots every two weeks, then it’s once a month after that. I’m sorry that there were new lesions on your last scan, and hoping the new drugs work well for you.

It turns out I have a very rare mutation for which she doesn’t have a drug. She is putting me on Fasoldex to see if that might work. I guess we just wait and see.

I've had very little trouble with faslodex. My hair has gotten thinner, and I get hot flashes now and then, but nothing too disrupive.
