Just starting my metastatic breast cancer return after 8 years. It is in my spine which I’m told is all lit up like a Christmas tree. It’s wonderful to read about other journeys where life spans are greater than 2 yrs. Gives me hope.

Reading about others who have lived well beyond initial expectations can be incredibly powerful and uplifting during this challenging time. Many people in this community have shared stories of thriving for years with metastatic breast cancer, and connecting with others who understand this journey can provide both practical insights and emotional strength as you navigate your treatment path.

Connie, hope is very important on this journey. I'll give you some more. Every bone in my body lit up except below my elbows and knees except my skull... That came later. Now I only have 3 hot spots. I started my metastatic journey 1/19/2016=9+ years. My original BC was in 2002. You will have some bad days, I count the good days. I've seen at least 5 new drugs since my 1st treatment. Praying you will mostly a good journey.

Hi I’m Mary and too had breast cancer and was in remission for 8 yrs. Than I too had pet-scans done and tumor markers done every couple of months to keep an eye on what was or wasn’t going on. Well at the end of my 8 th yr. I had a pet- scan and my spine too lite up T7 to be exact. So now I too have bone cancer confined to my bones. I couldn’t move cause the pain was so bad. Now I’m going my 6th infusion and I have no pain. Immunotherapy a form of chemo. I have no pain accept when I’m on my feet too long, but I have a bad back anyway. So at least that’s back to normal what ever that is? Anyway enough with me hope u’re feeling better please keep in touch and let me know u’re doing. Mary❤️
