I was on Ibrance and anastrazole. MBC diagnosis and I'm 46 I had hormone-positive breast cancer in 2020 and had a Double mastectomy In 2025 it spread to the liver I was put on Ibrance and astrazole I'm waiting on the kisquali now I was doing fine on Ibrance but at the end of treatment, it was suppressing my bones. I'm waiting to speak to my Breast oncologist in a few weeks in Indy but for now, I'm talking with my new oncologist until I get more specifics I haven't been happy with my oncologist since 2020 so I got a second opinion and I'm not that Im happy with this new oncologist but he still feels disconnected and not educated on some treatments. I have a Breast Oncologist in Indy but that is a drive every time, but she is there in case I have any questions come up I haven't talked with her much as I was stressed out and exhausted from treatments and just trying to figure out what is next but now I am ready to speak with her My question is this Ibrance was working wonders but the last two months the suppression of my bones was too much and my RDW and RBC were super low and neutrophils. My oncologist doesn't have many recommendations other than switching to Kisquali. Not lowering dosage again or anything so I will wait to see what the lady in Indy will say Scary switching and waiting for insurance to approve it, I've been off for about 3 weeks My question to the group AI is kicking my butt!!!! I can't function I said I had a sensitivity but he said everyone does to meds! I have tried the other ones and the same outcome He put me on tamoxifen It was just fine but I worry it's not enough Again Waiting to speak to the lady in Indy Has anyone had this and switched to tamoxifen instead of AI?

Switching hormone therapies can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with side effects that impact daily functioning. Many in this community have navigated similar decisions between AIs and tamoxifen, and experiences vary based on individual tolerance and treatment history. The conversation with the specialist sounds like a valuable next step to explore all options and make the most informed choice for your specific situation. Others here may have insights about their own hormone therapy switches that could be helpful while you prepare for that appointment.
