Has Anyone Experienced Severe Side Effects from Enhertu?

Has Anybo du ever been on Enhertu? It's my 2nd line treatment, and it's been 3mos/ 3 treatments and they've been very rough on me. I'm hoping to get a change of course very soon. It took a year for my hair to grow in and now with Enhertu*, it's coming out- by the brush full once again...not to mention I can't eat or keep anything ecen liquids down... my potassium levels are critically low. I can't get this elevated past 2.7, which is critically low. I've been given IV POTASSIUM & prescribed two horse pills, (20mg) of potassium orally q day (also hard on the stomach)... yet my levels are staying the same at 2.6/2.7 I think the Enhertu* is draining my potassium- not sure? I'm hoping my oncologist will change my treatment soon. (I don't know what's next in line or if I have other options, or how harmful the sides from a different med. might be?) It's stressful not feeling more vital, having no appetite, and constant nausea. Additionally, this treatment has caused me to suffer an ongoing (low-grade) headache from day one. I'm open to any & all advice. Thank you in advance for your input feedback, my friends.

Many community members have shared experiences with challenging treatment side effects, and it's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when dealing with such difficult symptoms. The severe nausea, hair loss, and electrolyte imbalances you're describing sound incredibly tough to manage, and discussing these concerns with your oncologist about potential treatment adjustments is definitely the right approach. This community is here to support you through these challenging decisions, and hopefully others who have navigated similar treatment changes can share their experiences and encouragement.

Hi Bonnie, sorry for your discomfort. I am just changing from ENHERTU ( my 3rd type of chemo) since 07/2022 as my cancer is aggressive and has continued to find its way around treatment. Each type of chemo works for awhile. I started on a double blind trial that worked for 6 months, then I went to Xeloda in 01/2023,but it wasn't addressing the bone METS and was changed to ENHERTU every 21 days and will start GemCarbo. Throughout all treatments I have received Zometa infusion every 3mos. Despite the initial hairless of ENHERTU, after 3mos, it started growing again. I hope some of this is helpful.
