Nine years of fighting stage 4 cancer is an incredible milestone that deserves recognition and celebration. This community understands the strength it takes to face each day with this diagnosis, and reaching this point shows remarkable resilience that shouldn't go unnoticed. Many here share similar experiences of feeling overlooked during important moments in their cancer journey, and hopefully connecting with others who truly understand can provide some of the support and acknowledgment that's so deeply needed.

Nine years! That is amazing! Woop, woop! Is that an expression? I had a mastectomy 26 years ago but they never checked that side. Two years ago I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. One lesion in my liver. I am 74 and glad I had 26 years cancer free but I would be overjoyed if I could make it to nine years. Maybe our 33 year old son would be married by then! How old are you and did you have breast cancer before this?

Heather, I, too, have MBC in most of my bones and lymph nodes. My 9 year anniversary is 1/19/2025. It's a battle everyday, now. I now have stage 4 CKD. Probably a result of too many CTs with contrast, high BP, dehydration from chemo. When my kidneys fail so I need dialysis, I think I will go on palliative care. Then, just go to sleep. The last couple of weeks I have lost the joy in my life. Bless you for hanging in there.

All of your stories are helpful. I was diagnosed Aug 2023 with stage 4 ER/PR+, HER2- and spread to lungs. I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole since. Aug 2024 I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer stage 1A , clear cell. I had a hysterectomy and 3 rounds of chemo infusions. PET scans shows tumors shrinking. I am so thankful for this. I hope that my quality of life will be good for 10 or more years. I am age 65 now.
