4 months agoI have been on Ibrance and anastrozole since March of 2024. I, too, have stage four mastastic breast cancer in my right lung. I am on oxygen most of the time during the day and continously during the night, for sleep apnea. As for side effects, I have a cough at night and sometimes when I eat. I have coughed all my life due to weak bronchial tubes, so I can't really know if my meds are the reason. Ibrance does list cough as a possible side effect. So far, everything seems to be under control. Take care and God bless.

4 months agoThanks for sharing your story Shirley. So far I have developed mouth sores, diarrhea and severe depression. I don't think it helps that I lost my mother 6 weeks before I was diagnosed with recurring breast cancer that has now spread to my lungs. I have tried to find cancer support groups in my area, but have had no luck.

4 months agoI’m on Ibrance and Fasledex and Xgevia. Hot flashes unbearable but my doc prescribed oxybutrin (for over active bladder). It has made a BIG difference. My metastatic breast cancer is in my bones and appendix and my omentum.

4 months agoI’m on Ibrance, Fulvesterant, Zometa, and Itovebi. Had minimal side effects but the Itovebi is giving me some issues (high blood sugar, fatigue). Have only been on it 3 weeks tho. It’s the Metformin for the high blood sugar that’s really annoying (diarrhea) and they just added Jardiance too. My cancer markets are going down though since I started the Ibrance and Fulvesterant. I have MBC to the bones…initial breast cancer was 18 years ago and took Aromasin for 10 years. Thought I was protected but I guess nothing’s foolproof forever.

4 months agoThat was my first line of treatment, too. I had disease progression at about 18 months. Bone lesions to my skull, they were radiated. Switch to Ibrance with fluvestraunt for 5 years. A nice long run. The last 2 years haven't been as successful. I now have new bone, liver, lung lesions. Today I had my first chemo infusion of Taxol, praying it will work. I'm at 9 years 8 months. I prayed for at least 10 years. God is Good 🙏
