2 years agoI am going to a new hospital in about 2 weeks. The visit is a combination of second opinion and interviewing a new oncologist. I am not super confident at the clinic I am at since my original physician left. What are some good questions to ask the new oncologist.

Finding the right oncologist is such an important step, especially when transitioning care. Consider asking about their experience with your specific diagnosis, their treatment philosophy, and how they communicate with patients about care plans and decision-making. This community often discusses valuable questions around second opinions, so others may share their experiences and suggestions to help prepare for this important appointment.

6 months agoHi, I’ve been thinking about your question because it’s so important. I think having good communication between your MD and you is so very important. As you discuss things the questions come up. I’m dealing with a super intelligent oncologist with the worst communication skills. It’s beyond frustrating.
