2 months agoHi Everyone, Wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year. I have a question about travel. I would love to go to Thailand or Vietnam but I’m really worried about anything happening while I’m there. I’m doing well right now but concerned that a strange bite or vaccinations needed might affect me. Does anyone have experience traveling that might help? Thanks in advance xxx

2 months agoTravel during cancer treatment is definitely something to discuss with your oncology team, as they know your specific situation and can provide guidance on vaccinations and precautions based on your current treatment plan. Many people in the community have navigated travel decisions during treatment, and connecting with your healthcare providers about timing, necessary precautions, and travel insurance can help you make the best decision for your circumstances.

2 months agoI have been dealing with metastatic breast cancer (stage lV) and primary immunoglobulin disease. For 10 years.. I have traveled all over the US and out of the country. Best travel advice -travel with someone that knows your limitations every day and will help you navigate daily. Start with 10 day trips and slowly increase the number of days you are gone. Travel insurance takes the worry out of if something goes sideways. My husband has planned a 3 1/2 week trip to Europe this summer. I am very excited. I am glad he talked me into all the trips over the years. It’s been just great memories. Oh and enjoy every moment. 💕

2 months agoThe longest trip I've taken is cross country for 2.5 months. At that time, I was on Ibrance and letrozole. I loved it. I did get dehydrated at Glacier NP and needed an IV. I had a cooler to keep in the car for my meds. They shouldn't get too hot. I did go to Bermuda on a cruise. I was only there a day. So I didn't not get health insurance. The rest of the trips were in the US.

2 months agoI was diagnosed in Sept 2025 and booked a trip to Spain in December as soon as I was feeling better. I don’t want to waste a minute. My doctor gave me all kinds pills for anything that may befall me. I’m totally booked for 2026.
