Hello, my name is Janice. I’m 71 years old and was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and my lung and some lymph nodes back in October. I’ve been on kisqali and exemestane. Kisqali has been affecting my liver functions and WBC so now I am going on a new chemo course but I am in limbo right now. I will be getting a pet scan on 12/27 which will be 3 months post MBC.

Navigating treatment changes and waiting for scan results can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with side effects that require switching therapies. The uncertainty of being in limbo between treatments is something many in this community understand deeply. Your upcoming scan will provide important information to guide your next steps, and having that medical team monitoring your progress closely shows you're getting attentive care. This community is here to offer support as you work through these treatment decisions with your oncology team.

Hello Janice, my name is Nichole. I'm 54 and I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer metastatic in my lungs and a lymphnode in my right arm in July of this year. This is after being diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma Insitu in 2017. I had a lumpectomy and they said they got it all. I took Tamoxifin for 5 years (2022). I went for my 7 yr mammo and they found this. I said all that to say I feel your pain and I will be Praying 🙏🏾 for you. God Bless you.

It's a blessing to be able to share this journey with people who understand. Glad to be a part of the community. My family has been traumatized by it all. God bless each of you!

Lunetta cancer (different kinds) has ravaged my family in the last few years (3 deaths in as many years). I have been traumatized by it, but we have so many warriors in our family that I wasn't allowed to wallow in self-pity. I have no choice but to fight. I will Pray for you and your family's peace.

Thank you Janice. Is it helping with fatigue?

No. It doesn’t help with that. But exercising helps me. Stationary bike. Elliptical and walking.
