2 months agoMastectomy in Feb 2025. Weeks later, Mets discovered in skull, vertebrae and hip. ER+,HER2-, Oncotype 8. Was immediately started on Verzenio, Anestrzole, and Zometa injections. At my first 3 month PET scan, lesions were replaced with Scoliosis(?). Does this seem like a solid plan to get me another 10 good years??

Treatment responses can vary greatly from person to person, and while your early scan results sound encouraging, it's really important to discuss your specific prognosis and treatment goals with your oncology team who knows your complete medical picture. Many people in this community understand the hope and uncertainty that comes with metastatic breast cancer treatment, and you're not alone in wanting to plan for the future while managing this diagnosis.

2 months agoYes, it does. In Jan 2016, I told my oncologist I wanted at least 10 years. She wouldn't promise me. But, Ibrance was the only CDK4 6 available. Verzenio was approved a couple of months later. There are many CDK4 6s now available. I believe my positive attitude and prayers has had a lot to do with my survival of 10 years. You can do this. I should have asked for 20 years.
