3 years agoIt was just recommended to me that I have a VATS procedure to remove a cancerous lobe of my lung that hasn’t responded to treatment. What can I expect for pain and recovery time after the surgery?

VATS recovery experiences can vary, but many patients find it less invasive than traditional open surgery, with healing typically taking several weeks to a few months. This community understands the challenges of navigating treatment decisions, and connecting with others who've had similar procedures might provide valuable insights about what to expect during recovery.

6 months agoSorry to hear you are going through this right now. I had this surgery done to remove 3 super small nodules that were fairly close to each other. The recovery was a lot easier than I expected it to be. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. I was back to my regular walks about 3 weeks later.
