Has anyone had whole brain radiation for brain mets? What side effects?

Will they consider doing Gamma Knife radiation? I think the side effects are less.

I’m so sorry. I just got diagnosed in 2025 with MBC.I just had whole brain radiation because I had 24 tiny lesions in my brain 4mm. I just have a really bad sunburn, some nausea and vomiting. It could have been to my anxiety though. My scalp was really sensitive but it gets better over time. I used the cream they recommended for my forehead.
