25 days agoI have been fighting MBC4 now for five years been doing well considering. It’s been over a year that I started chemo infusions. My story involves sleep. The day after the infusion I feel pretty darn good . By evening of the second day I start sleeping. This last time 12 hours then potty break then another 5/6 hours. It was such a strange feeling. Usually I just nap my way thru these days. Anyone else doing this?

25 days agoExtended periods of sleep following chemo infusions are quite common, as treatments can be physically demanding and the body often needs extra rest to recover and repair itself. Many others in the community have shared similar experiences with needing significantly more sleep in the days following treatment, so this pattern is something that resonates with fellow patients who understand the unique fatigue that comes with fighting metastatic breast cancer.

24 days agoI was sleeping a lot during infusion treatments, too. Now I'm on an oral treatment (Truqap) plus fluvestrant shots. I'm now sleeping 9-10 hours a night. These treatments are hard on our bodies. I make my appointments for mid day to early afternoon so I'm not rushed. I'm in my 10th year. I prefer to get up early, but that's not my new norm. I thank the Lord every day that I wake up. You can do this, just accept your life is going to keep changing. I'll be praying for you.

23 days agoVirginia. I’m on highest dose of Kisquali now for 2 years since my diagnosis and fluvestrant shots they just added 1/2 dosage of Trucap to the mix and I do feel fatigue by mid afternoon. My tumor fraction went up so the dr is trying this combo. We will see
