2 years agoWhat do you do for the stomach discomfort?
Accepted Answer
Stomach discomfort can be really challenging to deal with, especially when managing cancer treatment. Many community members find relief through gentle approaches like sipping ginger tea, eating bland foods, or trying small frequent meals, though it's always best to check with your care team about what's safe and appropriate for your specific situation.

7 months agoDepends on what it's from. Zofran for nausea but I learned the abdominal pain can also be gas so have Simethicone chewable tabs. My oncology nurse coordinator also gave paperwork with recommendations for each type of side effect. I drink a lot of ginger lemon and raw honey tea for the first week after infusion- seems to help a lot

7 months agoI was on Zofran until I developed nonstop stomach pain, cramping and nausea so my doctor put me on promethazine. It does not work the same way that zofran does but it does work. I also take Imodium. My first couple packs were delivered with my Verzenio. If my stomach is really bad I eat a very simple brat diet.

7 months agoI take 1000mg of Ginger twice a day. I have no nausea, gas and vomiting at all. I have used this since 1/2022. I take it everyday. A few times a year I have slight nausea so I drink a non alcoholic Ginger beer and that stops it.
