2 months agoThank you all for your comments. UPDATE: scan came back w/possible mets to spleen. Long story short, increasing oral chemo & rescan in 3 months. I'm sad & scared. Scanxiety. Stage 4 MBC gal here. PET/CT tmrw, Wednesday. I've been praying hard to our Lord, all the angels & saints that my results finally come back as NED. I'm stressed cause I've had pain on my right side of my torso. 🙏🏼

2 months agoPET scans are designed to detect metabolic activity that could indicate cancer progression, and your medical team will be able to interpret any findings in the context of your specific situation and symptoms. Scanxiety is so understandable before these important tests - sending thoughts for strength as you await your results and hoping others in this community can share what has helped them through similar waiting periods.

2 months agoI'M MBC.Was diagnosed in December 2021 and had bilateral mastectomy. Was put on Ibrance and Anastrazole after 2 years was switched to Kisqali 2 years along with Anastrazole. Went for my annual Scary PetScan this past December and Oncologist calls with not good news with results, says stop taking Kisqali it's not working anymore and cancer has progressed and come back to lower back and femoral hip. Had a bone biopsy done for clarity and yes its positive cancer is back. Now about to start on Lynparna. Sending prayers to you and all who are dealing with this 🙏🏽

2 months agoGeorgia, am so sorry to read about your results. Hang in there. I'll be hoping for you that the increase in oral chemo has a positive result on your next scan. I recently had a recurrence as well (after a PET scan in January). Mets in my hip, lower back and scapula. Just started Verzenio + Fluevestrant. Many here are on a rollercoaster just like you. We know what you are going through and will send positive vibes your way. ~~~~~~~ Keep us updated on your progress!!

a month agoGeorgia, hang on sweetheart. After being NED since 8/22, in February, pet showed upper pelvis on lower back. I was on my second line, Truqap. Research shows 8 months before recurrence. Well, i went 12. So, look at the research for time before cancer grew or if NED, returns.

a month agoSaying prayers for you Georgia. I have my PET scan in the morning. I hate it. I’ve had pain in my left side for quite awhile. My stomach showed Mets in there in September which did not show on the scan I had in October so I’m curious if it shows it this time. Saying prayers for us all!

19 days agoHi I’m Mary and too have cancer. It’s very scary going for any of those tests cause u don’t know what it’s going to show. Unfortunately as cancer patients we go to bed with it at night and wake up with it in the morning wondering when the next tumor is going to pop up and where? And u are right in less u’re going through it or have been there no one as a clue as to how u feel. It’s hard but u try to push as hard as u can. U have good days and bad. Please let me know how all the testing went and I’m praying for u. Good luck! Mary❤️
