2 years agoHas anyone heard that proton pump inhibitors (nexium, Omeprazole, etc,) can affect ck 4/6 like Ibrance and increase risk of time to progression? Did your oncologist treat you with something else for mucositis/mouth or esophageal sores?TIA! 🙏

Drug interactions are definitely worth discussing with your oncology team, as they'll have the best insight into how different medications might work together in your specific situation. Many oncologists have experience managing side effects like mucositis while ensuring cancer treatments remain effective, so they may have alternative approaches or timing strategies that could help. Other community members here might also share what has worked for them in managing these challenging side effects.

6 months agoI was told by the pharmacist that some of the antacids could interfere with Ibrance and to only take them if I really needed to. That included pepcid.

6 months agoYou must check w yor Onco first but my team said I could try chewing celery to extract the juice & not eat the fiber part as it worked very well for extreme heartburn wen I was pregnant years ago. I will report back to see if it helps me
