a month agoJuly 18,2026 I was recently diagnosed with metastic melanoma, I found I was pregnant at the end of April found a mass at 6 week scan had a surgery in June to remove mass as well as both my ovaries and right fallopian tube as well as peritoneum biopsy and lymph nodes removed. Had a brain mri and chest ct yesterday which showed small lesions on my all under 6mm largest being 6mm starting radiation Monday and have already had first dual immunotherapy treatment. I also have masses on both adrenal glands and swollen lymph nodes in chest/ armpits. Looking for hope stage 4 metastatic melanoma

23 days agoHang in there Molly. Radiation showed positive signs for my metastatic melanoma and the immunotherapy as well. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma of the right breast, they removed the tumor and 22 lymph nodes, one testing positive. It has since gone to my T9 vertebrae and rib bone. Had radiation on both sites with positive results but the battle goes on, my T9 showed to be more active my last scan but not bigger and the lesion on my rib got smaller from the radiation. Was on Opduolag but switching to Opdivo and Yervoy next month. Wishing you well

23 days agoIt is so scary, I have those thoughts as well, not seeing my kids or grandkids continue to grow. I stopped looking things up because it just scared me more. I try to stay busy as I can to keep my mind occupied but when I was first told “you have cancer” I lived with so much fear, it consumed me some days but I kept moving, I went to the gym, helped friends with jobs, worked in the yard, etc. At first I sat around and kept waiting to feel sick but then the more I did the less I thought about it. I mean it’s always there but I figured I am not giving in to this, I am going to keep going. It is still surreal every time I pull into an appointment and see Cancer center because we all have known people with cancer but never think it will be us. I am so sorry for the ramble, I just know what those early days were like. There will be hard days and good days just don’t let the hard days win. Again I am so sorry to ramble on, reach out any time and keep us posted on how your treatments are going

16 days agoIt will take it out of you, I always feel beat the first couple days then gradually start to feel a little better. Just in time for the next one 😆. Have they found more lesions? What do they have you on for immunotherapy, if you don’t mind me asking. I was on Opdualag but they are switching me to Opdivo and Yervoy at a higher dose than what I was on so I am a little nervous to see how bad the side effects will be. Hang in there and don’t let the bad days win! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
