7 days agoHi community, I have a rare form of Melanoma, it was metastatic "internal" Melanoma. No moles detected. It looked like stage 4. It was found by a CT scan. I kept feeling more and more tired. I thought it was my age as all my "tests" and even blood work was off but not severe enough for medication. Symptoms: High platelet count (for many years) , pre-diabetes (borderline, for many years) high cholesterol ( borderline, for many years). Bad neck, and L4,L5 in my back. Neuropathy in feet and calves. High BP 20+ years. I did take meds for it. I also was afraid to medicate for diabetes and cholesterol ( I was trying diet and exercise.) And heard not too good things about treatment. for this

7 days agoThank you for sharing your experience with internal melanoma - yes, melanoma can absolutely develop internally without any visible moles on the skin, though it's less common than the skin-based form most people are familiar with. Your story highlights how important it is to listen to persistent symptoms like fatigue, even when individual test results might seem borderline, and how imaging like CT scans can be crucial for detecting internal cancers. Sharing your diagnosis journey here can help others in the community who might be experiencing similar unexplained symptoms understand the importance of advocating for thorough testing with their medical teams.
