How did prayer help with my stage 4 lung cancer recovery?

Hello everyone my name is Thomas and March of 2025 I was diagnosed with stage four lung and bone cancer and given one maybe two years at the most.. I’m 73 years old and have gone through radiation treatments and immunotherapy treatments that needless to say almost killed me.. After my second immunotherapy treatment I told my oncologist I was finished with treatments.. I had never been so sick in all my life.. I lost not only my appetite but 40 pounds as well.. I spent eight months going from the bedroom to the bathroom sick as hell from the treatments and that was NOT how I thought God wanted me to end this life.. My wife needless to say was totally against my quitting therapy but now understands completely .. I can’t tell you when but one day after treatments I got down on my knees and gave everything and I mean EVERYTHING to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.. None of us know how when or where we’ll take our final breath it’s all in Gods hands period.. A couple of weeks ago I had a six month follow up with my doctor.. The week before I had blood work and a Ct scan and the results shocked my doctor.. Blood work came back great and the scan showed NO new growth of any cancer.. According to the doctor he’s only experienced this a couple of times in his career and I was one of them.. Praise be to God.. I’ve put back on almost all the weight I lost I’m eating like a horse and have even started painting the exterior of our home.. My testimony till the day the Lord sees fit to take me is PRAY.. I don’t care what religion you are or where you come from but we all have a choice in our lives and surrendering ourselves to our Lord and Savior is the BEST DECISION you’ll ever make folks.. Something to think about folks; Cancer is a multi billion dollar a YEAR business, do you think they’re going to find a cure and lose all that money.. I DON’T.. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving it to GOD.. And finally I hope and PRAY each and every one of you finds and experiences the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.. I pray that this will touch your heart and soul and you all experience the love of Jesus Christ.. God Bless you All Thomas

Thank you for sharing this powerful testimony about finding comfort and strength through prayer during such a challenging journey. Many people in the cancer community find that spiritual practices, meditation, and faith can provide significant emotional support and peace of mind alongside medical care. The mental and emotional benefits of prayer and spiritual connection are well-documented and can be an important part of overall wellbeing. Your experience highlights how finding inner peace and surrender can help people cope with uncertainty and focus on what brings them joy and meaning each day.

God bless you brother. So happy for you. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 23. Total of 4 TURBT procedures and 3 rounds of chemo/bladder instillation. My bladder has been clear for a little over a year however the bladder cancer went metastatic and now have a spot on the middle lobe and a lesion on my left femur that is more than likely another metastatic area. I starting immunotherapy treatments with cycle 3, day 1 tomorrow. I’m strong in my faith and gave all to God after the initial diagnosed and continue to place it in His hands. It’s God’s will and whatever the outcome, I’ll be fine. God Bless Roland

Hey Tommy, I’m with you. I know what you mean about quitting therapy. I went through 27 treatments and it kicked my butt. I feel great now just that I have back pain in my mind to First and it was metastatic so it went to my liver things are going way much better. Doctors told me stage 44 months to live in. I’m just so sick and tired of cancer. I lost 40 pounds I weigh 110 now and just bothers the hell out of me when I eat healthier and summer and I just wanna enjoy the summer the winters but thank you for sharing your story and I hope you’re doing well my friend. I know you’re right when you put everything you have it’s God how can you go wrong? Jesus knew it and where is it? Be cool my friend. Stay the course and just give yourself to God. I hope more people read. This is very inspirational for those of you. Who don’t believe in God you need to read this. He answers your prayers. He’s not a myth. it’s not smoking magic God is for real. He’s in your heart. He’s in your mind. He’s in your body. Give him to give yourself to him and he’ll give himself to you tenfold amen 🥰🙏🏽🫡😉

It’s Friday 6/5/26 o brand new day folks and might I suggest that before the sun comes up or as soon as you wake you offer it up to Our Lord and Savior. Ask him for his guidance strength wisdom and love to make it through this Friday.. Release your pain your fear and your anger to him. Thank him for the blessings you’ve received and for the ones yet to come.. Open your heart and soul to Him. I pray for each and everyone of you to find peace and comfort from your pain and suffering. In Jesus name I pray this for all who come to Him, Amen. Have a blessed day everyone. Thomas

Dear Lisa And all the folks who this will touch today tomorrow and forever; We CAN’T lose if we put ALL our Faith in Jesus.. We all know we’re going to die someday, if it’s not cancer or the poison they treat it will it could well be a wrong way driver.. ONLY and I emphasize ONLY, GOD knows the time and place of our endings.. Give everything to Our Lord and Savior and pray for peace within.. Make peace with your family and friends enjoy every moment of every day and know JESUS LOVES YOU.. I’ll be praying for each and every one of you 🙏 Thomas
