When facing urgent symptoms without reliable transportation, consider reaching out to local cancer centers or hospitals about patient transportation services, as many offer free or low-cost rides for cancer patients. Emergency departments can also provide immediate care when symptoms become severe, and social workers there can help connect you with resources for ongoing support, including expediting disability applications and finding local assistance programs for people facing cancer alone.
