a month agoAnyone experiencing weight gain with treatment? I’m estrogen positive and the weight is just adding on. It’s creating havoc on my mental health. Anyone experience similar feelings and have any tips to help steer me in the right direction mentally and start to shed some pounds?

a month agoWeight changes during hormone-related cancer treatments can be incredibly challenging both physically and emotionally, and those feelings are completely valid. Many people in this community have found success combining gentle movement they enjoy, working with healthcare teams on nutrition strategies, and focusing on mental health support through counseling or mindfulness practices to help navigate both the physical and emotional aspects of treatment-related changes.

a month agoI am on hormone therapy. I have a good appetite. But I fill up on lots of chopped salads lean chicken and fish. I use low carb bread and watch my sugar and carb intake. The weight watchers plan and keto have worked for me too. I hope it helps. You can do this. The stress also does not help. I find myself binge eating at time from anxiety

7 days agoI was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February. After my first chemo treatment a bowel obstruction took over my body and I was put in hospital for the most terrifying week I could ever imagine. The toll it took mentally was very scary and I could not lay down in a bed for 3 months. Enter my counselor. She was fantastic in getting me over my fears. I never thought I needed a counselor but I’m a counselor convert now. So helpful and things are going much better. I’m having surgery in July.
