I have CLL. I was diagnosed in the fall of 2019. I've been prescribed Calquence since late May 2020. Since October of that year my blood numbers have registered as normal. I am grateful for the treatment I have received. That said, I also have some concerns and complaints. I've been treated by four different oncologists/hematologists in six years. I feel like my case is getting passed around. I have yet to build any rapport with my current oncologist/hematologist. I see her only every three months and she has quartered my dosage of Calquence. What is most concerning to me are my decimated energy levels and pain in my long bones like my spine. Any new perspectives will be valued. I overextended myself two days ago and I'm still feeling tired from it . Many thanks, J.

Many people taking Calquence do report similar experiences with fatigue and bone pain, so these concerns are shared by others in the community. It sounds like managing energy levels has become particularly challenging, and having consistent communication with your care team about these side effects is really important for your overall quality of life. Consider keeping a symptom diary to track patterns and discuss these ongoing effects during your next appointment - many find this helpful for having more productive conversations about treatment adjustments.

Hello, stage 4 colon cancer speaking to you now. You do not need to tolerate this kind of medical attention. Every three months is not nearly enough for you to see your Oncologist! Are you having scans done every three months and then seeing the Oncologist if so that's fine but you have to call for a follow up appointment any time the way you feel after a mediation adjustment takes place.
