2 months agoI am between mammo/ultrasound and the biopsy for molecular and histological staging. Don't even have onc or surgeon yet. The shock sucks and the terror sucks worse. This has me thinking about the importance of self care. Were there any steps or actions you took to help you over the hump? I'm thinking about maybe a deeply luxurious spa day, one before surgery and one after whatever rx cones after surgery. Maybe a reading retreat? Please share whatever worked for you.

Many community members find that planning meaningful self-care activities during the waiting period can provide something positive to focus on while processing difficult emotions. Spa days, reading retreats, and other nurturing activities can offer valuable moments of peace and comfort during an overwhelming time. What forms of self-care have brought you the most comfort in the past, and how might you adapt those for this particular situation?

2 months agoDo whatever you enjoy. Treatments are available. Cancer is not always a death sentence. I know it's scary and you feel alone but you're not. Lean on family and friends. If that doesn't work lean on the people here. Good luck to you.
