The center The cancer center, It was a place that you heard about in a television commercial, on the radio, it was a place that others went. Not you! Now, you know the directions without the GPS , you know the security guards by their first names ,you know the receptionist and staff, you know the lab techs and nurses all on a first name basis. You know the radiation department, the smell and sounds of the equipment in the oncology treatment center. How quickly things can change. A place that you never gave a second thought to suddenly is all too familiar. Complete strangers months ago, you handed your health and life to.

That familiar journey to a place once unknown becomes a profound part of the cancer experience - where unfamiliar hallways transform into well-traveled paths and medical professionals become trusted allies in your care. Many patients find that treatment centers evolve from intimidating unknown spaces into places of routine, hope, and connection with caring teams who understand the journey ahead.

I am so thankful for my cancer team at Duke Blood Cancer Center in Durham, NC. I am 84 years old and was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma three years ago. There is no cure. My warranty was nearing an end soon but I’m not giving up yet. Thank you Richard for reminding us to not let the bad days win.

Hello Joyce, I too am thankful for my team at the Robert and Beverly cancer center in Pomona California. They have been compassionate, supportive, and very encouraging! As we all know our teams have become like a second family to us! I am 75, none of us know what our expiration date is so we must be thankful for ever day. Some days are worse than others but we must keep a positive attitude and pushing forward.Every gain no matter how small is a Win!👍 God bless all that come here! Keep fighting 💪 “Don’t Let The Bad Days Win!”
