Hello. I was just diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February of this year. I also have bipolar, ptsd and anxiety. So far I’m doing pretty well. Sometimes I get depressed in the evening thinking about the cancer. But I know God is with me and I am held.

Thank you for sharing your journey with this community. Managing a cancer diagnosis alongside mental health challenges takes incredible strength, and it sounds like your faith is providing meaningful support during this time. Evening emotions can feel especially heavy, which is completely understandable given everything you're processing. Consider connecting with others here who may have similar experiences balancing cancer care with mental health needs - this community often has valuable insights about coping strategies that work alongside professional care.

Hey Kelli, I hope you have an established relationship with a mental health therapist. I also struggle with mental health and having that safe place to go and talk about the good and the bad has been extremely helpful. I'm very fortunate to have a good solid support system with my wife and two daughters. I refuse to think about where I would be without them in my life. I wish you well in your journey. Take good care.

I do have 2 mental health therapists and one specializes in trauma. I also have a psych nurse for my meds. My faith is what is getting me through this diagnosis and treatment.

Hi Kelli, I was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma three years ago. I am 84 years old. I was diagnosed when I broke my my arm. I was in so much pain that my son and daughter in law took me home with them for three months. That was three years ago. I still struggle with pain and side effects from my treatments. I became so depressed that I was ready to end my pain for good. I am depressants and speak to a therapist once a month. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help.
