How to manage hip and pelvic pain during cancer recovery?

I had good news from my PET scan. My lesions are healing! We don't know what is causing my hip and pelvic pain, I hope it is just because I am healing. I am starting a pain clinic later today. I have other issues like neuropathy and arthritis that also cause pain and I am hoping they can provide information about how to handle these issues. Have a wonderful day!

That's wonderful news about your PET scan results showing healing lesions! Starting with a pain clinic sounds like a smart approach for managing multiple pain sources, as they often have specialized strategies for addressing complex situations involving healing tissues, neuropathy, and arthritis together. Wishing you a productive first appointment and hoping you find some effective pain management techniques that work well for your recovery journey.

Congratulations on your scan!! I've been to a pain clinic prior to hip replacement surgery (I had to wait six months to get the surgeon I wanted) and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff were very empathetic and thorough. They counseled about addiction concerns, but I had no problem getting appropriately strong pain killers.
