hi, I have triple negative breast cancer in left breast again . I say again because I been in remission for the last 10 years (2014) has return. it’s been hard for me to process it but I’ve completed my chemo which started in December 2024 and now I’m scheduled to have surgery next week double mastectomy. I was supposed to have surgery in September. It’s been postponed so I get really anxious and then I say I’m not gonna do it but this is it so keep me in prayer.

Surgery anxiety is incredibly common, especially when procedures get postponed and you've been through treatment before. The anticipation and waiting can sometimes feel worse than the actual event itself. Many community members find it helpful to focus on one day at a time and connect with others who understand this journey. Consider reaching out to your medical team about your anxiety - they often have resources and support options that can help you feel more prepared and calm heading into surgery.

You are in my prayers. I had stage 1 ductal carcinoma in 2014. Nearly 11 years clear and mammogram led to biopsy in February of this year . Lobular carcinoma this time. Stage 3 due to local metastasis. Bones and organs clear. So 16 weeks of chemo completed Oct 2nd. Double mastectomies Nov. 3. Mapping completed for radiation and hoping to get that started this week. Several speed bumps like pneumonia, low blood counts and a pulled muscle in rib area. I am in a good place right now as my surgeon and radiation oncologist are ok with my walking around in the pool as long as I keep my chest area dry. I have found throughout these two cancer treatments that I do best when I can keep my scheduled routines going and assure that I am well hydrated and getting enough healthy protein. I pray daily for a breakthrough and I know there is progress being made.Do all you can to stay well during treatment YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
