How to find emotional support when facing end-stage gastric cancer?

I was diagnosed with stage four gastric cancer that spread to my liver in December 2022. I was on chemo for three and a half years. I chose to end my treatments for various reasons. I was told I had about six months left to live. I am currently under hospice care at home and coping with my emotions the best I can. At this point I am not hurting yet. I have a wonderful social worker that I see once a month. With that said I would like to chat with someone with a similar situation or just to chat with for emotional support.

Finding emotional support during this time can make such a meaningful difference, and reaching out to this community shows real strength. Many community members have found comfort in connecting with others who understand similar journeys, whether through online support groups, local hospice programs, or cancer communities that offer peer connections. The social worker can also be a great resource for finding additional support networks or connecting with others in comparable situations who are open to sharing their experiences and providing mutual encouragement.

I have stage 4 gastric large b-cell lymphoma. I was diagnosed in August and have received my 6th chemotherapy cycle. After my 3rd cycle I was told that from a Pet scan they have seen no cancer but I am a candidate for tumorlycis. I am feeling good after 7 days from each chemo and playful for that. I sometimes get sad but my faith keeps me going. I try to focus on living. Hope you are thriving and feeling better.
