a month agoDon't have a diagnosis yet but considering I went to urgent care for an ear ache and went to the hospital for blood pressure a d was told I might have leukemia is a bit of a left turn and it's been 18 days and the place they referred me to just keeps saying it's still being processed and it'll be about 4 to 8 weeks before I see a Dr is that normal?

a month agoHi! Mackenzie, I wouldn’t wait, go see an ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) I was told that I had an inner ear infection, (by urgent care) turned out to be squamous cell cancer in my throat.

a month agoWaiting weeks for potential cancer test results can feel overwhelming, especially when the possibility came as such a surprise during routine visits. While timeframes can vary between facilities and depending on the specific tests being run, it's completely understandable to feel anxious about the wait and want answers sooner. Consider reaching out to the referring facility or your primary care provider to ask if there's any update available or if they can provide more specific information about the timeline - sometimes a gentle follow-up call can help clarify the process or potentially expedite urgent cases.
