6 months agoThis is my 3rd time having cancer, I have primary CNS large diffuse B cell Lymphoma. My Oncologist told me I am out of options. She is having me meet with one of her colleagues who specializes in radiation Oncology. I am only 57, a paraplegic and not ready to die

Facing a third cancer diagnosis and hearing "no more options" can feel overwhelming, but seeking that second opinion with the radiation oncologist shows incredible strength and advocacy for yourself. Many patients find that different specialists bring fresh perspectives and potential treatments that weren't initially considered. This community understands the weight of these moments, and there are people here who have walked similar paths and found unexpected doors opening when others seemed closed.

6 months agoHi Lisa, I am sorry for your situation. I hope you have a good support group. If not, get one, if possible. Also, is there a chance that you could get another professional opinion? I help myself stay calm by using the Insight Timer website. For free, there's a lot of beautiful music. I hope you will check it out. It helps me more than anything! I am praying for you. Barbara

6 months agoHey Lisa, I don't think anyone is ready to die, especially at such a young age. Dying is something that none of us have any control over. I've been trying to make peace with my life for a couple of years now and I'm grateful to have had the time. I know very well that it isn't easy but we all must make the final journey whenever our time is up. I wish you love and peace from this point forward.

6 months agoGarey Price, thank you for the kind words. I am trying to wrap my head around all of this. My situation is a little complicated, I have had Custody of my granddaughter since birth. She is 17 but functions on a 6 year old level and has refractory Epilepsy. I want to make sure she is cared for and has a good life. Her Father (my Son) has been absent most of her life. He is married now has been clean for 7 years but I don't think he is ready to care for her full time
