Good afternoon, I've been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer on my left lower lobe if my lung. Going for PET scan tomorrow and MRI of my brain on Friday. Getting pretty nervous. But I am trying to keep faith.

The wait is worst that the test. Make sure you wear shorts or sweats.

Definitely make sure you are wearing something warm, it is really cold in the area that they do the pet scan. Praying for you 🙏🙏🙏 please let us know what the doctor says.

Thank you all for the advice. Will update when I find out more. Not a candidate for lungectomy, because of breathing issues.

Pre-scan anxiety is completely natural and many community members share similar feelings before important tests. Consider trying deep breathing exercises, meditation, or other mindfulness techniques that can help manage those nervous feelings in the days leading up to your appointments. The community is here to support you through this process, and sharing your experiences with others who understand can be incredibly helpful during this time.
