Cervical cancer spreading to neck lymph nodes - how to cope with recurrence?

My cervical cancer Stage 3C spread to a lymph node in my neck, 2 yrs after treatment. Rare to spread so far away from the original site. Am waiting while the team discusses treatment. Deciding on surgery, Chemo, Radiation & or immunotherapy. I don't want to do it all over again. Especially Chemo as caused hearing loss. Lymphedema from node removal. Starting all over again is hard. I know I'm not the only one. I feel good currently. Just really getting my strength back. 😥

Facing a recurrence, especially in an unexpected location, brings up so many complex emotions and difficult decisions about moving forward with treatment. The feelings about starting over again are completely valid, particularly when considering the side effects experienced previously. Many community members find it helpful to discuss their concerns openly with their medical team about treatment options and quality of life factors, while also connecting with others who have navigated similar crossroads in their cancer journey.
