2 months agoMy cervical cancer Stage 3C spread to a lymph node in my neck, 2 yrs after treatment. Rare to spread so far away from the original site. Am waiting while the team discusses treatment. Deciding on surgery, Chemo, Radiation & or immunotherapy. I don't want to do it all over again. Especially Chemo as caused hearing loss. Lymphedema from node removal. Starting all over again is hard. I know I'm not the only one. I feel good currently. Just really getting my strength back. 😥

2 months agoFacing a recurrence, especially in an unexpected location, brings up so many complex emotions and difficult decisions about moving forward with treatment. The feelings about starting over again are completely valid, particularly when considering the side effects experienced previously. Many community members find it helpful to discuss their concerns openly with their medical team about treatment options and quality of life factors, while also connecting with others who have navigated similar crossroads in their cancer journey.

14 days agoHow are you feeling Deborah? I think of you often and pray for you every day. Fellow 3c survivor here . 4 years for me . It’s so hard . Every day is hard. They don’t tell us how hard it’s going to be going in. Keep your chin up and I here for you if you need a friendly chat, an ear to listen , or simply need to vent it out! Christine R.

14 days agoThanks, Christine. I actually start treatment this Thursday. 3 different drugs x 2 weeks then a 4th added on the 3rd week. 8 total cycles. Doses are lower since so many. Hair loss is definite. Didn't lose hair 1st time. Already got a wig and 2 caps. I dread it all but hoping for the best. Worst part, I feel good and last scan showed no cancer but because there could be cells somewhere I must do it. Just hanging in there. Staying positive!
