Hello everyone My name is Jose. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma on May 05 2025 on my anniversary. My treatment plan will begin with an induction cycle between 3 to 4 months before an Autologous Stem Cell collection. I will begin the induction cycle from the year to date. It seems that there is so much going on between so many doctor appointments. It seems overwhelming at times. I will keep you all posted throughout my journey. Not much in the immediate family department. I feel like my older brothers just wrote me off. I have a partner and some friends in my corner. My folks passed away. It seems lonely but holding on strong.

Starting multiple myeloma treatment can feel overwhelming with all the appointments and new information, but many community members find that connecting with others who understand this journey helps tremendously. The treatment timeline described sounds thorough, and having even a small support network of caring people can make a meaningful difference during this process. Since loneliness was mentioned, please consider scrolling down the page from the Home Screen of the app to find the Ask Outcomes4Me box to get in touch for a more personal conversation and connect with clinical care experts. The 988 hotline is also available if additional support is needed.

I completely agree that connecting with others here who truly get what you're going through can be such a lifeline, Jose - and maybe also consider asking your care team about what specific side effects to watch for during induction so you feel more prepared for each step ahead.
