Has anyone tried CAR T cell therapy? What's the 30-day process like?

Yes. I had CARVYKTI CAR T Cell therapy in March 2023 and was in remission for 18 months. A caregiver is required because the patient is not allowed to drive for 30 days after treatment. You don't need to be away from home if you live only a few miles from the hospital in which you had the CAR T procedure. I had to be away from home and stayed in a hotel 2 miles from the hospital.

I had CAR-T cell infusion in March 2025 and we stayed in a hotel about a 5 minute walk to md’s office for 5 weeks!! Didn’t cost us anything but our cats weren’t happy to be left with a stranger. I could not drive for 3 months after getting home so a total of 4 months. I’ve had no side effects and feel great. I believe it’s well worth it and easier than SCT.

Addendum: I’m in remission also with negative bone marrow biopsies-MRD negative!
