How do you keep hope alive after multiple cancer diagnoses?

I am hanging on by a thread, I have been fighting for just over 2 years, when I was diagnosed my doctor told me to get my affairs in order, I had less than 4 months to live. That was 2 years ago and a new oncologist team. Tried to do BMT but I was diagnosed with a second cancer of my tongue, after surgery and 35 radiation treatments they said they got it but I was no longer a candidate for BMT. 8 Months ago my wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer. They did a radical surgery and she is now cancer free. Two weeks ago my pet scan showed my mouth cancer is back. God gives you no more than you can handle is out the window for me. I am hanging on by a thread and I'm wanting to cut it.

The weight of facing multiple diagnoses while supporting a loved one through their own cancer journey is overwhelming, and it's completely understandable to feel like hope is slipping away. Since you mentioned wanting to cut the thread, please know that support is available through the crisis hotline at 988. Many in this community have found that connecting with others who truly understand these challenges can provide a lifeline during the darkest moments - would sharing more about what has helped you get through the toughest days these past two years be something that might help others facing similar battles?

HEY ANONYMOUS! Every day is a gift! No “thread cutting”. Eat some Gummies with THC and CBG for anxiety and CBC for mood support. No more talk about thread cutting! If you live where they don’t care about cancer patients and it’s illegal, they make gummies without the THC and you can get them by mail.

I understand the desire to cut the thread. I felt the same way for a while. My cancer team set me up with help. They put me on antidepressants and I no longer have those thoughts. Reach out to get help. This is a rough journey we are on. We are stronger together. I was diagnosed three years ago. I wish you well on your journey. Hang in there my friend. We can do this!
