Fetal hemoglobin (HbF) is a type of hemoglobin that's naturally higher in babies but usually decreases as we grow into adults. In PMF patients taking Droxia (hydroxyurea), elevated fetal hemoglobin levels can actually be a positive sign that the medication is working effectively to help manage the condition. Many others in this community have experience with Droxia and monitoring these lab values, so hopefully some members can share their insights about what to expect with fetal hemoglobin changes during treatment.
