6 months agoI haven't done chemo, just immunotherapy. Every third week for two years. I'm just over halfway through now. I also had radiation therapy, 39 treatments. I wish you well on your journey!

6 months agoAny ideas on side effects of chemo for early stage lung nodule I hear hearing loss, neuropathy, so scared
Community Member
6 months agoSince I haven't had chemo, I don't know about the side effects. There are so many different drugs, I think there are so many side effects. I think I'm fortunate to not have to go through chemo but I worry about immunotherapy not being able to completely kill all of the cancer cells. I know some people who have chemo have a lot of side effects and some are worse than others. I hope you have side effects that are less than others! Try to think about the good it can be doing. I hope it is successful for you!

6 months agoBeing scared is a valid thing. Try to distract yourself with good thoughts and memories. I know it is easier said than done but it can be helpful.

6 months agoI had 1 treatment of cisplatin and never really noticed I was saying huh all the time until my son brought it to my attention and I am actually looking forward to getting the hearing aids, they said it was mostly chemo and some my age. I did go to some great concerts when I was young.

6 months ago@Laurie people respond differently to chemo, take good care of your skin and do your best to stay positive. Do things for yourself that make you feel better. Drink lots of fluids, I drink Gatorade blue and smart water and I love the banana nut and chi tea from 7 brew. Eat popsicle to stay hydrated. That's kind of fun to do and my doctors all see me in pajamas. Do what you can to keep some humor into this because you are a fighter and this war is won in small battles 💪
