a month agoI just downloaded this #Outcome4me app. Im in stage 4 NSCLC since January 2024. Have had 32 IV chemo and inmuno therapy. I have had 5 thoracentesis and been hospitalized twice. My lung biopsy was a nightmare to result in non diagnosis with either false negative or remision; it is uncertain. My January PET scan came with a neck metastasis in C2 and put chemo on hold while been through 7/10 radiation therapies. It has been an overwhelming journey and my lifestyle shifted from free retiree and personal trainer well travelled to now visting doctors and Walgreens. Nerontin and percoset have aided my neck pain. Full 100% support from close friends. However, all this said, today I feel good.

a month agoWelcome to the community! It's incredible that despite everything you've been through, you're able to say you feel good today - that shows remarkable strength and resilience. Many people in this community find that staying positive during treatment comes from focusing on those good days when they arrive, leaning on the support system you clearly have, and connecting with others who truly understand this journey. What helps you most on the days when staying positive feels harder?

a month agoHi we seem to have a lot in common with our journey..I was diagnosed Nov 2024 with stage 4 NSCLC which spread to C4. Radiation first then chemotherapy plus KEYTRUDA. Still on KEYTRUDA and Zometa. I too went from being an active retiree playing pickleball, golf, lawn bowling and traveling. I have a great support system and my friends and family are always making sure I’m ok. I wish things could be different but am not giving up. I hope you continue to feel good and always have the support you need and deserve.

24 days agoyou are never alone. reach out with concerns. when my stage 4 was dx in 2017 I was tge care giver for my wife and mother. my wife passed 2 yrs ago after 7 yrs of fronto temporal dementia. my mother who is 102 wants her meds stopped as she has lost eyesight. her birthday is 2 weeks from now. to initiate hospice now or wait till her birthday causes a lot of emotional trauma while managing a busy geriatric practice. we all have to navigate with the deck of cards we are dealt with. take care love you all for fighting the fight. after a grim prognosis I am entering the 9th year. with 3 rounds of cyber knife to brain. on first line immunotherapy gilotrif.

18 days agoMy GP found 1 suspicious lung nodule during my routine physical and X-ray last April. They monitored for 2 months and it grew a little bit, so they sent me for a biopsy which showed 3 small cancerous lung nodules. Diagnoses as Adeno Carcinoma.

18 days agoBeen receiving IV chemo and Keytruda since early August. 3 subsequent Ct's have shown no more growth or spreading, so my Oncologist is pleased. Fatigue, tiredness, and, lack of energy are the worst side effects I'm experiencing.
