Everyone please pray for me. I just finished chemoradiation for my Stage 3 NSCLC. But ended up in the hospital with blood clots in my leg and a few in my lungs. I am shome on blood thinners, but get short of breathe walking a few steps and my heart races. On top of that, my 96 year old roommate is having heart issues. I am so frightened right now for both of us.

Dealing with blood clots after cancer treatment can be incredibly challenging, and it's completely understandable to feel frightened during this difficult time. Many patients experience similar complications after chemoradiation, and while blood thinners are an important part of managing clots, the symptoms can still be concerning - connecting with your medical team about your breathing difficulties and heart rate changes will be essential for getting the right support and monitoring during your recovery.

I'm dealing with the same fears about blood clots after my treatment - you're definitely not alone in feeling frightened by these scary complications. Sending prayers for both you and your roommate during this really tough time. 💙

Just started chemo radiation this week. Had a port placement and now they say I have AFIB. Just 1 thing after another.

Strap yourself in. There are a variety of side effects and they are unpredictable. I have finished, as have many others, so you will get through it. Stay on top of all your symptoms and communicate with your team. Saying prayers that things go well for you from now on.

Hi Sue I had blood clots in both my legs and lungs 3 months after my diagnosis prior to the clot I had spinal surgery and radiation I had to have ambulance come and bring me to Hospital April 2024 I thought it was a heart attack and the emergency room doctor first diagnosed it as a Heart Ugh eventually found out it was clots I was release after 3 days and prescribed Eliquis have been on since Thankfully I never had a recurrence I’m actually doing good now Just finished 35 chemo Immunotherapy rounds You will get through this yes it’s scary but it will pass Healing Vibes and thoughts to you
