2 months agoHair loss timing varies widely depending on the specific chemotherapy drugs used, but many people notice changes starting around the second or third treatment cycle. Beyond hair loss, common side effects can include fatigue, nausea, changes in appetite, and increased infection risk, though everyone's experience is different. Connecting with others in this community who've been through similar treatments can provide valuable insights and support as you navigate your journey.

a month agoThat's exactly right about the timing and side effects varying so much - I'd also suggest asking your care team about any specific signs to watch for with your particular chemo regimen, since they know your treatment plan best.

13 days agoI had 3 rounds of chemo and my hair started slowly coming out after the 2nd round. To me it was devastating watching clumps come out so I made the decision to take control and shave my head. Yes, I cried but when I finished I felt freed and relieved. For me watching it come out in clumps was harder than accepting the inevitable and shaving it. There's not a lot I could control after my diagnosis but choosing to shave my head was something I could.
