How to manage diarrhea during lung cancer treatment?

I have non-small cell lung cancer and I'm currently going through treatment. I've been dealing with moderate diarrhea that started recently - this is something new for me. My care team mentioned that digestive changes can happen during cancer treatment, and I'm planning to discuss this with my oncology team. I'd love to connect with others who have experienced similar digestive issues during their lung cancer journey and hear about your experiences. • How did you manage diarrhea during your treatment, and what helped you get through day-to-day activities? • What tips do you wish someone had shared with you when you first experienced digestive changes during treatment?

I'm not in treatment yet, but, I went to a support session at the Cancer Support Center and one of the things they mentioned is it's very common/expected to have diarrhea during treatment.

if you are on immunotherapy diarrhea is a common side effect eat low residue foods and as needed I take when symptoms I take Imodium 2mg occasionally. check with your doctor of course. for me breads and lactaid milk helps as with any diarrhea there is lactase deficiency which can cause bloating and diarrhea

Imodium is a great help, finished immunotherapy therapy in October then got awful diarrhea in January, lost 10th pounds , but I’m still eating cake for breakfast, Godspeed one day at a time thank you God I’m cancer free… baby steps to try to get back to where I was although I don’t think I ever will because I’m on oxygen 24 seven but like I said cancer free happy Easter
