Lamaras (larotrectinib) is a targeted therapy that works by blocking specific proteins called TRK fusion proteins, which can drive cancer growth in certain tumors. This medication is designed for cancers that have TRK gene fusions, which can be identified through genetic testing of the tumor tissue. It's encouraging to see patients asking informed questions about their treatment options, and discussing these details with an oncology team can help determine if this approach might be relevant for a specific situation.

It’s a targeted pill you take targeted just for your type of cancer. I was on it and was so sick coming out both ends.
