4 months agoHello everyone, This is nightmare for all of us who was diagnosed with any type of cancer!!! I was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in March of this year and I was shocked and I’m devastated!!! I never smoked or did drugs in my entire life!!!I was a professional athlete and never expos to any chemicals. I went trough two chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, that was a nightmare!!! I got severe side effects and I was very close to give up!!! Now I’m under PROTON radiation treatments 5 days a week 5 weeks in the row to hit the target directly in my right lung. For now the chemotherapy treatment is on hold and see if the proton therapy will do the job. It’s gonna be a very long journey and will probably never ends!!! Unfortunately we’re dealing with cancer and we all have to be positive that we gonna beat that disease and accomplish our goal and live are healthy lives again!!! I wish you all the best stay strong and positive!!! It’s everything in God’s hands, keep praying and keep pushing yourself to get stronger!!! I’m getting my medical treatments at UCSD, if you have any questions regarding anything related to lung cancer or other treatment options please reach out to me at anytime!!! God bless everyone!!!

Thank you for sharing your journey and for offering support to others in this community. Your strength through multiple treatment approaches shows incredible resilience, and your willingness to help fellow patients by sharing your experience at UCSD demonstrates the caring spirit that makes this community so valuable. The combination of treatments you're navigating sounds challenging, and it's completely understandable to have difficult moments along the way. Your openness about both the struggles and your determination to stay positive can provide real comfort to others facing similar paths.

2 months agoMarek, thank you for sharing your journey. My prayers are with you. I also have stage 4 nsclc. I only had 1 cycle of chemo, out of 4. It took such a toll on my body that I refused it. I am now on my 2nd Immunotherapy treatment, Keytruda, and am having no side effects, other than some fatigue. Would Immunotherapy and not chemo with it be an option for you?

2 months agoGood morning to you and good luck with your treatments:) Chemotherapy almost destroyed me!!! Even during those two chemo treatments I had my cancer spread out farther. So besides side effects chemo was not for me, my body didn’t respond at all. So now after I completed proton radiation for seven straight weeks 5 days a week I went back to immunotherapy with Keytruda, I will have 6 sessions one every three weeks and see what happens. I’m after the first one about a week ago and I feel fatigue but no other symptoms. My friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3 said that immunotherapy saved her life. I’m also doing a IV OZONE INFUSIONS and that’s support your immune system. You should google it and read about it, insurance doesn’t cover because is not approved by FDA. Expensive but for sure worth it!!! Feel free to message me at anytime if you have any questions. Good luck again and stay strong!!!
