6 months agoMy Fiance has Non-small Cell Lung cancer and it's stage 4 he is now in hospice. What can I do to help him?
Accepted Answer
Being a caregiver during this challenging time takes incredible strength, and seeking ways to provide comfort shows deep love. Focus on creating meaningful moments together - whether that's simply being present, sharing favorite memories, or helping maintain connections with loved ones. Many find that small gestures like ensuring comfort, advocating for pain management, and following your partner's lead on daily activities can make a significant difference. Consider connecting with the hospice team about resources for both of you, as they often provide valuable guidance for navigating this journey together.

6 months agoJust share the space with him and be as supportive as possible. Hold his hand if he wants you to. Tell him you love him and that you will remember him. If you are both religious, share your religiosity. Reminisce with him about the things you both enjoyed. I know it is a very difficult time. I lost my late wife to the same disease in 2003. Accompany him as far as you can on his final journey. I wish you both peace and love!
