Should I ask for liquid biopsy if lung cancer seems to be progressing?

I am concerned that my lung cancer is progressing after a year on chemo plus KEYTRUDA. Latest CT scan and PET show slight increases. I am thinking I should ask my oncologist to retest via liquid biopsy as my cancer is non resectable. Any thoughts on secondary treatments I should ask about? I’m stage 4 and also had radiation to my T4 as I had lesions in the bone. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

FDA hasapproved a blood test called REVEAL Which picks up new mutations. I just had mine awaiting results. May be you cn ask him about it if you don't want a rebiopsy.. Keep the faith When I get anxious I cook for my 101 year mom! You will do well Ramesh

Discussing a liquid biopsy with your oncologist makes sense when considering potential treatment changes, as it can help identify new mutations or resistance patterns that might inform next steps. Many patients in similar situations find it helpful to prepare a list of questions about available treatment options and ask their care team about clinical trials that might be relevant to their specific case.
