How long does throat dryness last after cancer treatment?

Throat dryness and dry mouth can persist for several months after oral cancer treatment, and while it's challenging to experience worsening symptoms during recovery, this is unfortunately not uncommon as tissues continue healing. One month seems like such a long time when you’re going through this. I’m 14 months post treatment and I still have issues with being able to enjoy most foods. Hang in there. It starts getting better slowly.

I hear you Kim. I’m a little behind you with approximately 9 months post treatment. I still have issues with flavor profiles. I used to enjoy food. I saw you mentioned crawfish boils in another post, I you must be from the south. I used to live in Louisiana and miss that type of food a lot. Food is also more spicy now than before. Using black pepper is like using jalapeños. I look forward to the day I can get back to as close to normal pre-treatment as possible.
